- - Responsible for on site observation of construction progress in field
- Review and report on contractor’s adherence with the construction drawing and specification documents during construction
- Interface with owners and design team consultants during construction
- Design intent liaison between design team and construction team
- Prepare site observation field reports pertaining to job status
- Maintain, record and organize construction correspondence, submittal, request for information and change order logs
- Review contractor’s Applications for Payment per requirements of construction contract
- Field verification percentages of construction phase completion
- Ability to anticipate project trends and troubleshoot issues in the field
- Understand terms and responsibilities of the construction agreements,
- Assist in the drafting of construction contracts, and assist with permitting
- Support the design teams with constructability reviews during design phases & prior to bidding / construction
Requirements
4 yr. accredited degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
Proficient experience in project/construction management and/or architectural management
Qualified knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and liability
Understanding of all facets of the architectural design/construction document process
Familiarity with construction management software programs (ex. Procore)
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Basic skills in understanding of estimating required
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Collaborate with design teams to facilitate a positive work environment
Excellent time and project management skills
Ability to maintain a high level of professional conduct in rigorous environments
Preferences
Ideal candidate has experience in building design and/or building construction
Experience working for a General Contractor and/or A/E Firm
5-10 years experience working in a related field
PE, CPM, LEED, AIA (or other professional certifications) will be given special consideration
