Bozeman Hot Springs has served as a community hub for over 100 years as a destination for the wellness-conscious. Its current renovation—a twenty-year and 40-acre resort-style master plan—begins in the Wellness Center. This space acts as the springs’ front door, welcoming guests and setting a tranquil tone that carries them through their stay. The design philosophy is rooted in the belief that humans are not just connected to nature, but are nature itself, and resonate deeply with water, air, earth, and fire—all elements prominently featured in the springs’ biophilic design. Natural elements like stone boulders from the owner’s nearby quarry envelop the exterior. Inside, green walls and natural light enhance new locker rooms, retail spaces, and a cafe. The springs will remain open and operable throughout a phased construction, and will ultimately debut a 162-room hotel, a state-of-the-art fitness center, daycare, salon, spa, hot and cold pools, cabanas, and a performance stage with lawn—all in service of celebrating the next 100 years.
