Size:

90 acre site master plan
60,000 sq ft arena
12,000 sq ft boarding house

When Montana State University Northern began reimagining their equine facilities, they knew they wanted a space that would welcome MSU-N students, teachers, and the public. This feasibility study explores how a 90-acre site can become a healthy home for horses as well as a training facility and full-scale rodeo venue for the people who love them. The study’s plan is anchored by a 60,000 sq ft riding arena complete with classrooms and seating for 3,000 spectators. It also includes a 12,000 sq ft boarding house and multiple grazing pens. The main arena is gently nestled into the existing site slope, creating a facility that integrates into the land, while also facilitating ease of use for loading and unloading.
