Van Winkle Field and Stadium is a state-of-the-art sports facility completed in 2019 for the Bozeman School District, the crown jewel of which is a 3,200-seat stadium with accompanying amenities. Their goal was two-fold: to create an incredible experience for athletes, coaches, families, and fans, and to mitigate traffic on game days. The big move to achieve all this was to first separate the existing football and track fields into distinct spaces, thus creating better sightlines, efficient vehicle patterns, increased campus safety, and modern sports programming. The stadium encompasses an artificial turf field that supports football, soccer, lacrosse, band, and fitness classes. As a hub for the community, the site also features concessions, ticketing, restrooms, locker rooms, showers, training centers, first aid, and maintenance storage. A two-lane looping boulevard was built to facilitate easy drop-off and pickup.
