Ben Erickson
Principal + Owner | Founder
Superpower | Super Connector // Within a degree—or maybe two—Ben can connect to anyone in Montana.
Ben is one-half of the partnership team at 45 Architecture, known for its blend of public and private work and deep community roots. He founded the company back in 2014 when he saw an opportunity to contribute to Bozeman’s built environment: athletics and education. It’s not easy breaking into a market, but Ben has always leaned into his guiding ethos that partnerships are more important than projects, and that doing good is good for business. It’s a philosophy that has served him well through the evolution of 45. From ranchers to urbanites, clients trust Ben for his humility and willingness to always lend a helping hand. Ben has the great ability to listen to his clients, truly hearing the spoken and the unspoken and incorporating that into projects that distinctly reflects their wants and needs. Ben is inspired by his father, who has owned his own business for over 40 years. Born and raised in Montana, he is committed to contributing not only to the growth of the region, but also to the vibrancy of its community. Design Inspiration | Mies Van Der Rohe “Less is more” Louis Sullivan “Form follows function” Architectural Style | Ben leans toward Mountain/Modern Architectural design but really doesn’t have a preference. He prefers to work with his clients, listen to them and design to their needs to create their style. Current Read | Golf Digest. Ben is always trying to improve his golf game.
